AETA Accreditation Committee is AETA a functional committee for degree accreditation centered on the accreditation chair(Functional Committee) composed of theological educators with many years of experience in theological education, leader development, and training, and with degrees appropriate for accreditation, consisting of approximately 10 members.


Duties

- Review and approve accreditation through AETA's accreditation process and promote AETA's accreditation work.

- Develop and advance AETA's accreditation programs.

- Encourage and support each accreditation program in achieving its intended goals.


Meetings

- Hold one regular meeting annually, and hold special meetings as needed.

- Meetings open with attendance of more than half of the committee members and decisions are made by majority vote.


Organization

- Chair: Elected at the AETA General Assembly, with a term of 3 years. Represents the Accreditation Committee and presides over all meetings related to accreditation.

- Vice Chair: Multiple Vice Chairs may be appointed based on regional distribution. In case of the Chair's vacancy, the eldest Vice Chair shall temporarily perform the Chair's duties.

- Secretary General: Receives and sends all necessary documents for meetings and accreditation and manages all committee affairs.

- Secretary: Records meeting minutes and assists the Secretary General in receiving and sending documents.
